I am very proud to be a part of SFVC for and we are looking forward to a great 2011-12 season. As a former collegiate player and coach, I know that the volleyball club experience is one of the best and most rewarding experiences for every player. Our goals are to train players to improve their skills and improve the level of play in the South Florida region. We work hard at trying to help in the recruiting process so players may continue their volleyball career at the collegiate level. South Florida Volleyball is the place to be and we are excited to have you. Welcome!!!

Why should I play for the South Florida Volleyball Club?
SFVC has a long standing tradition of and prioritizes quality coaching. We've been in existence for 20 years and our goal is to improve individual player performance and also works to assist with local team success. We take great pride in recruiting the best coaching staff in South Florida who have quality college coaching and playing experience. SFVC coaches are prepared to train, instruct and teach at the highest level possible.
What is the difference between a regional and national team?
A regional team will travel locally to tournaments in Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach and one tournament in Orlando/Tampa and train 2-3 times a week. A national team will participate in that same schedule and will also travel outside the state to a National Qualifier (i.e., Atlanta) and train intensely 2-3 times a week.
Where are practices?
Facility usage and practice scheduling is the biggest challenge that faces SFVC and any club. Following tryouts, players will be assigned to teams according to age, skill, and geographic components.
Practice locations and times vary depending on the schools from which the players on each team draw. Practices are once/twice a week during the week and once on the weekend, usually Sunday afternoons.
Is there financial assistance for SFVC?
Every player has the opportunity to reduce SFVC costs by soliciting sponsorship ads in our SFVC yearbook. This yearbook includes player bios, individual & team photos and serves as a recruiting guide for college coaches in the recruitment process. Eighty percent of ad dollars collected go toward individual player tuition, with the remaining 20% applied to book production costs. Ad forms are available from coach/Director.
What age groups does SFVC provide teams for?
SFVC is committed to developing volleyball for all ages 18 and under and has expanded the program to include training for 10 & under league play this season.
How long does the season last?
Team practices will begin in December. The season ends with the regional tournament in May.
